"SOAP CHAT" and the Official Chad Brannon Web Site Present:
A Very Special Evening With Chad Brannon and Natalia Livingston

ASHLEY BATTEL (HOST): Good evening, everyone, and welcome to a very special edition of our
"SOAP CHAT" online conferences with our featured guests, 'General Hospital's' Chad Brannon (Zander) and Natalia Livingston (Emily), a co-presentation of the Official Chad Brannon Web Site and the Soap Scene Forum! (Chat Rules outlined at this time)

Ladies and gentlemen, I am very pleased to introduce you to our very special guests. They're two of the brightest and most talented young stars in daytime today, and we are thrilled to have them join us here on "SOAP CHAT"! We are honored to welcome at this time: Chad Brannon and Natalia Livingston.

Before we begin: Chad and Natalia, would you like to make a few opening comments for your many devoted and loyal fans who have joined us to speak with you tonight?

CHAD BRANNON: Thanks everyone for showing up for the chat. Thanks for Ashley Battel and Soap
Chat News for putting this together.

NATALIA LIVINGSTON: Thanks for having me here, and thanks so much for coming out last week.

CHAD BRANNON: Thanks for coming out to the event at BJ's Brewery. We raised $4534.17 during the
evening, plus the $2,000 from the fan contribution to go to Cystic Fibrosis, so thanks to all of you for making that happen!

ASHLEY BATTEL (HOST):
Thanks, Chad and Natalia! We are going to get right to your questions now...

=Question= : MollP asks:
Hi Chad! Molly here. If you could write the dialogue on the day Zander finds out that Emily was fantasizing about Nik during ZEm's wedding and never would have married Zander if she wasn't expecting to die any second, what would you have Zander say to her?? :-)

CHAD BRANNON: Oh boy....his first instinct would be to say, "We're done", but he loves her with
all of his heart, and wants to make it work, and always has, because she changed his life -- I think I'd be like "Look, it's time for you to make a choice. We aren't going to play these games anymore. I'm done with this, so it's time to move on.

=Question= : TMPRGuru asks:
Hi Natalia! What are some of your favorite ways to unwind after a long day of shooting?

NATALIA LIVINGSTON: Sometimes I'll take long walks. I'll take a walk to a coffee shop about a
mile and a half away from my home. I'll go over there, and get an iced coffee and sit down and relax for a little while and then I'll just walk back. It's nice! I've gotten to know a lot of people that work there.

=Question= : Lib2266 asks:
Chad/Natalia: when it comes to memorizing your lines, do you have a technique, or does it just come natural? If so, what is your technique?

NATALIA LIVINGSTON: It takes me quite a while really to get the lines in my head. I usually
try to memorize each individual section or group of lines, and then I do that for probably the first two days, and I get the sequence down, and the last day right before we shoot, I try to memorize the other persons line, so I know my cues.

CHAD BRANNON: You should really be paid more than me!

I have a couple of different ways that I memorize. I generally read through to understand the story I have to tell and really get the idea behind the story so I understand. When I go back to learn the lines, it's like filling in the blanks; I always stand outside to learn my lines, and generally I run over them again and again until I get them.

I try and leave them when there is a little bit of freshness to it -- not verbatim. I get a couple of different options to say things, or if it's something really emotional, I don't want to have the words too well, because I want the emotion to come out. I want to understand the emotional tempo of the scene, and throw in the words at the last minute.

=Question= : LuckyChickAnn asks:
Natalia and Chad: Since working together, what has been the hardest scene to do?

NATALIA LIVINGSTON: What do you think Chad?

CHAD BRANNON: Probably - I don't know - probably the scene where I really tore into Emily after
Zander saw Emily and Nikolas kissing, because I was vicious with you. I felt bad for Natalia, because I was like "Shut up, I'm not finished".

NATALIA LIVINGSTON: I think that worked, though.

CHAD BRANNON: Oh yea, it totally worked, but I felt bad.

NATALIA LIVINGSTON: For me, the whole time period where Emily wasn't telling Zander about the
cancer, and she kept pushing him away -- that was hard to do -- the natural instinct is that this character loves Zander so much, and you want to go toward him, but you keep pushing away and keeping the secret to protect him.

=Question= : Jennpenrose asks:
Natalia, it was written that you are the best recast on a soap in 10 years!! (I think you're the best addition to any soap in 10 years recast or otherwise) Was it hard to take over a role started by someone else? By the way, you are absolutely phenomenal!!!

NATALIA LIVINGSTON: Oh wow...Thank you so much! I really appreciate that! It's good to hear.
Coming into this role, I knew that I had very big shoes to fill. I had heard so many wonderful things about Amber. I was very excited to jump into this role and the breast cancer storyline. I was nervous about it, but it fueled me, and made me want to work even harder.

=Question= : dnicejeter asks:
Chad, what is the most recent song(s) you've learned to play on your guitar?

CHAD BRANNON: I don't know. I haven't played with my guitar in a while! That's a tough
one....I've been picking up a ton of other hobbies lately, so it's been a while since I've
learned a new song. I've written some songs, but I haven't learned anything

=Question= : SaSa7683 asks:
First off Chad, Marry me..AND...both Chad and Natalia, what advice would you give to someone going on their very first audition tomorrow?

CHAD BRANNON: Wow -- that's cool!

NATALIA LIVINGSTON: Try not to be nervous. It's easier said than done -- at least in the
interview part that comes before -- really be yourself, and settle into your surroundings, and get yourself together before you go in there. Knock 'em dead -- good luck!

CHAD BRANNON: Congratulations! The big thing to remember about auditions is that just as much
as it's your job on the line to be there, their necks are on the line as much as yours are. Know that no one is better than you -- all you have to offer is yourself. Go in and give them what you've got. If you are the role, and you work in the role, then you'll get it.

=Question= : Deezan44 asks:
Hi Chad, I wanted to ask you how much you enjoyed taping the drunk scenes at Jakes' with Tyler. They looked like they were fun.

CHAD BRANNON: They were awesome! Those were my favorite scenes ever to tape on GH because they didn't put time pressure on us, the writers didn't put pressure on us -- they let us improv some. They shot it kind of like a sitcom. They wanted us to make each other laugh, and we had a ball!

=Question= : From Marie (LoveZanderEmily):
I really admire you, and was wondering if you had talked to Amber, and what she thinks of your portrayal of the new Emi?

NATALIA LIVINGSTON: I met Amber for the first time during the GH weekend. Right when I saw
her, we gave each other a big hug, and introduced ourselves. We didn't talk about the show or anything to do with Emily. We were mainly talking about her new show Joan of Arcadia, and I told her how much I was looking forward to seeing her on TV this fall.

=Question= : lanedavieslover asks:
Chad and Natalia, I just love you two!!!! How is it to work with Lane and Nancy?

CHAD BRANNON: Lane has been great! I'm actually getting to work with him a little bit more now.
I know the fans and I both wanted that to happen. He's great, and a great guy to work with....they are both fun to work with. Nancy always makes work interesting.

NATALIA LIVINGSTON: I really like working with both of them. I second what Chad just said. I
like working with Lane a lot because he's from Georgia. I have to be careful with him because when I work with him, both of our southern accents come out.

=Question= : luckyjono59 asks:
For Natalia - What did you think of your first GH fan weekend?

NATALIA LIVINGSTON: I loved it! I loved that it was a three day long event. I felt like by the
end of the 3 days, I recognized people by name, and I enjoyed it a lot. Now, when I read my letters, I know who they are from.

CHAD BRANNON: I remember when that happened with me! That's fun!

=Question= : lowly asks:
Chad, I'll see you in Austin next week and this time I won't need to bring the Blue Bell! On to my question...This is for both Chad and Natalia...How have you personalized your GH dressing rooms?

NATALIA LIVINGSTON: I haven't personalized it at all. It's so bare! It's a big empty room,
with basically a big couch. I finally got someone to give me a table and a lamp. Chad had these great candles in his room, and I went to like 4 different Targets and Bed, Bath & Beyonds to find them, and I finally found it out in Pasadena.

CHAD BRANNON: Your dressing room used to be Amber's and Vanessa Marcil's.

NATALIA LIVINGSTON: That's cool!

CHAD BRANNON: Mine was like a cave, and last year mom was in town, and I decided OK, let's
go to Bed, Bath & Beyond, and find some junk for my dressing room. I have a lamp and a green plant, my TV, some nice throws so I can take a nap, some pillows. After, I threw all of this stuff in there, and then I stopped working for like three months, so I was like "Oh, great"!

=Question= : austie68 asks:
For chad: Loved the Zander/Em scene after he caught her kissing Nik. where does all the emotion go for you when the scene is over?

CHAD BRANNON: Let's see....it bottles back up. I don't know -- you can't live a life as a nutcase! Luckily, we've been blessed with a job where you can dump out all of your stresses on someone, and then it's over. That scene specifically was a great release because of the tension in the story up until then, so it was a great scene -- not much to be bottled up after that. I bloodied my knuckles, because I hit some walls before we taped that.

NATALIA LIVINGSTON: My dad was there one day when we were taping, and he just doesn't
understand that whole process, and he said to me Chad was really frustrated.

=Question= : FEE93 asks:
Chad: Do you think Liz and Zander should have been given a chance to become an established couple?

CHAD BRANNON: Yea...at the time, sure. I think it could have been - as far as who was there -
she was the best catch - so yea, I think they should have/could have given a little more of
that

=Question= : Sunset98 asks:
Hi Chad and Natalia...I know both of you don't have much time with your busy schedule, but I was curious if you have any guilty pleasure TV shows (cheesy reality TV shows, etc) that you enjoy watching when you have some down time?

NATALIA LIVINGSTON: Let's see....I really like this new show called "The O.C." -- I love it!

CHAD BRANNON: It's going to be huge.

NATALIA LIVINGSTON: I really like the actor Brody -- I reallly like that show. I'm looking
forward to watching it tonight.

CHAD BRANNON: I'm going to set my TiVO! I have a feeling that's going to be one of my guilty
pleasures. I got a little addicted to "Smallville" last year, and my acting coach is the reason, because he coaches on the show. MTV -- I had never watched until about a year ago, and now I watch "PunK'd" and "The Osbournes." I became the biggest fan of those shows.

NATALIA LIVINGSTON: "The Osbournes" is great!

=Question= : SoapQueen1989 asks:
Hi Chad and Natalie! It's Soap. This question is for Chad. What happened to Zander's back-story? Are we as fans going to ever get to see Zander and Cameron reconnecting as father and son?

CHAD BRANNON: You will definitely see some more interaction soon. I'd love for them to address
more about the back-story, but I don't know.

=Question= : sandcastle416 asks:
Hi Guys. This is Sandy. It was great seeing you last week. Any chance for just one day of good ZEm stuff that isn't ruined with the other "stuff"?

CHAD BRANNON & NATALIA LIVINGSTON: You are talking to the wrong folks! Sometimes because of all of that stuff, Zander just walks around ignorant, so I try and be a little like that as I play it.

ASHLEY BATTEL (HOST):: We have approximately five minutes left with Chad and Emily this evening, and will be trying to answer as many questions as possible within the allotted time...stand by :)!

=Question= : Zanbird2 asks:
To both: If you could be in any movie/tv remake, what would you like to do?

(Natalia asked Chad if he watches GH. Chad says sometimes. He TiVO's, and watches in blocks --
he has dish network)

NATALIA LIVINGSTON: I would get into a time capsule, and take myself into the American Movie
Classic time period, and get myself into one of those movies -- anything in that time period.

CHAD BRANNON: I'm kind of in agreement. That's one of the most arrogant things of me about
being an actor, but I just want to be a part of history. Those actors made a mark in history, and it's such an amazing thing that they did. Old Hollywood is so cool. That, and 70's movies -- gritty and raw, and now it's cool to be that.

=Question= : LCSCheer asks:
Natalia.... Your scenes with Steve Burton have left me in tears. IMO, they are the most powerful simply because Em feels free to be honest about EVERYTHING she is feeling. What are your thoughts on the Em/Jason connection and your scenes with Steve?

NATALIA LIVINGSTON: I have absolutely loved working with him, and I've loved the scenes with
him. It seems like with every scene that I do with him, I get closer, and I start to understand the bond that Emily and Jason have, and I'm starting to see what the relationship is. It's built on honesty, trust and unconditional love, and I see with each scene how strong that bond is, and it makes me want to do more scenes with him. I have a brother I'm really close to, and I understand how you have a brother that you love so much.

=Question= : jasonsbabe35 asks:
Chad, I think you are great and I was wondering, you and Tamara seemed to have so much chemistry, and Zander and Carly were cute. Did you like working with Tam, and do you miss the Zander/Carly friendship??

CHAD BRANNON: Loved working with her -- as the character and as the actress. I love Tamara to
death; as far as the friendship, they ended it so awkwardly that it's hard to pick something like that up again, but I would have loved to have kept her as a friend, but the truth is -- do you really do that in life?

ASHLEY BATTEL (HOST): We will be taking one more question for Chad and Natalia tonight...

=Question= : MarthaC72 asks:
Hi Chad, it's Martha...I was wondering how is the airplane thing going.
Are you getting your pilot's license soon?

CHAD BRANNON: It's not in my plans anytime very, very soon because, time wise, I have a lot of
things going on right now, but I would definitely like to do that within the next year or two.

ASHLEY BATTEL (HOST): Chad and Natalia, is there anything that you would like to add in closing for all of your fans tonight?

NATALIA LIVINGSTON: I want to say thank you all again for having me here. It's been great to
talk to everyone. It was so nice to meet so many of you over the GH weekend, and I look forward to hearing from you, and I really appreciate your letters. Thanks again for the presents, and the donation to Breast Cancer - it means a lot!

CHAD BRANNON: I want to say thanks for coming out, and being here for the chat. Thanks for
everything at the GH Fan club weekend and my event on Thursday. A big thanks for being fans -- if there are any other questions you can send them to CBOTeam@hotmail.com and visit me at http://www.chadbrannon.net - my new website that I love! CHAD TO NATALIA: Thank you so much -- this was fun.
