With his storyline heating up, Chad's public appearance schedule slowed down a bit. However, all the hard work he was doing was paying off because in 2003 he received his first Emmy nomination. On May 17, 2003, Chad attended the Emmy Awards with girlfriend, Cheryl Buchanan. Although Chad did not take home a golden statuette of his own that night he was still in high spirits when he attended the After Emmy Event in Saddlebrook, NJ with Kamar de los Reyes, Michael Easton, Brian Gaskill and Thorsten Kaye.

On August 21, 2003 Chad hosted his second charity event at GHFC weekend in Los Angeles. Chad was joined this year by Co-star Natalia Livingston as well as his father, Glenn Brannon, who was more than a little overwhelmed by his son's popularity with fans. The event was once again in support of The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and was hailed by many as one of the best events they have ever attended. Thank you to all those who attended and contributed to this worthy cause.
