2002 found Chad seeing a little more of the US than he had in the past. In April Chad traveled to New Jersey to participate in the Soap Stars & Supper event in East Windsor. He was joined by Coltin Scott Martines, Kyle Lowder, Ari Zuker, Cameron Matheison and J. Eddie Peck.

April 20 & 21, ABC's Super Soap Weekend West was kicking into gear at Disney's California Adventure once more and Chad was there to meet the fans, sign autographs and pose for photos.

On May 12, 2002 Chad headed north again, this time to Mt. Pleasant, MI to appear along with Tamara Braun, Sean Kanan and Kevin Spritas at the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort. Lots of fans and lots of laughs made the event a memorable one for all.

Wally Kurth, along with bandmate Christian Taylor asked Chad to join them in Chapel Hill , NC on June 23, 2002, for a fund raiser in support of Duke Children's Hospital and The Kurth and Taylor Foundation. He jumped at the chance and his inclusion in the event brought even more daytime fans to this worthy cause. Chad joined the band on stage, participated in the Q & A and gave Wally a little help during the auction before everyone headed to the VIP dinner and meet and greet.

August found Chad once more at GHFC Weekend, but this year he would be hosting his own event. On Sunday, August 26, 2002, Chad appeared along with past and present cast members of General Hospital at the GH Fan Club luncheon and it was clear from his autograph line that he was one of the most popular cast members there. The next day, Monday, August 27, 2002, Chad hosted his first fan club event in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of LA and was joined by co-stars Billy Warlock, Jaime Ray Newman, and former leading lady Amber Tamblyn. The event activities included a Q & A, a live auction and a meet and greet session. The event raised awareness as well as much needed funds for CF research and allowed Chad to use his celebrity to further a cause that is close to his heart.

November 10, 2002 marked the start of Super Soap Weekend at the Disneyworld Resort in Orlando, Fla and Chad was there with pen in hand to sign, smile and interact with the fans. He also participated in a Q& A and was joined by many other GH cast members including Tamara Braun, Nancy Lee Grahn, Coltin Scott Martines, Marissa Ramirez and many others.

At the end of the month Chad joined Coltin Scott Martines, Kamar de las Reyes and David Fumero in Saddlebrook, N.J. for the "Hunks for the Holidays" fund raiser. The following day, Chad and Kamar participated in a meet and greet/ autograph session at Menlo Park Mall in Edison, N.J.
